Uasingishu County in collaboration with MSEA organized a two day MSE’s expo as part of capacity building MSEs and enhancing market access for their products and services. MSEA North rift regional head CPA Alton Kogo, representing MSEA CEO Mr Henry Rithaa, MSEA Head of Corporate Communication Elizabeth Mulae, Joined H.E Governor Dr Jonathan Bii Chelilim, EGH to officially open the Eldoret City MSME Exhibition in Eldoret Town. The exhibition is the first event in Uasingishu County before the award of city status and attracted the participation of 151 Exhibitors from diverse sectors.
The MSE’s expo was officially launched by H.E Governor Bii who thanked the exhibitors for showcasing the best products and services from the County. He further pledged his support towards the sector through providing a conducive environment for their businesses, access to finance, marketing, product promotion, and access to local, regional, and global markets.

CPA Kogo, Representing MSEA CEO Mr. Henry Rithaa highlighted MSEA’s commitment in supporting the MSMEs through the Authorities key programmes ranging from Market development, formalization and registration of MSEs to identify needs, equipping of Constituency Development Industrial Centres (CIDC) with common user machines, product development and linkages with relevant stakeholders for enhanced financial access opportunities. He also highlighted on the upcoming opportunities on NYOTA and KJET projects which will support youth with grants for start-ups as well as equipment for MSEs to boost production.

He appreciated all the organizations present for their support which contributed in making the event a success. Participating organizations from both public and private sectors included Inkomomoko, Kenya Power Company Ltd, Shangwe Jua Kali Association, Ampath and MTRH, Uasin Gishu County Government, among others. Uasingishu County commissioner flagged off the road show which saw MSMEs move in Key Streets sensitizing the public about MSEA and its role in supporting the sector.
