MSEA Busia regional office, in collaboration with AMREF, organized a 2-day sensitization forum on MSEs health and wellness marking a significant stride in addressing health challenges encountered by micro and small enterprises in the county. The forum united 20 associations, forming the Busia County Association’s network. Topics discussed included combating malaria, HIV/AIDS, and Tuberculosis (TB). Emphasis was placed on the importance of tackling these diseases, recognizing their direct impact on the performance and profitability of MSEs in the county.

Through educating and sensitizing MSEs on prevention and treatment methods, the forum aimed to empower them to proactively safeguard their health and well-being. The establishment of the Busia County Associations Network will facilitate a coordinated approach in raising awareness about these health issues among MSEs and their communities. MSEA will continue supporting MSEs with holistic interventions to support their enterprises for growth of the sector.
