The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority in partnership with Tally Solutions, a leading international business management software provider, has announced the opening of nominations for the fourth edition of their MSME Honours. The annual event serves as a platform to honor and celebrate budding businesses and entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the MSME ecosystem across Kenya. It is a recognition platform designed to identify and celebrate MSME Heroes, which may include entrepreneurs, creators, small and new business owners, or independent business leaders. We consider the diversity of these businesses and strive to recognize them at a hyper-local level.
This year, the honours will be awarded to MSMEs across these five categories:
1. Wonder Woman: Recognizing women who have overcome challenges to establish thriving businesses, inspiring others in the process.
2. Business Maestro: Celebrating seasoned professionals whose expertise and resilience serve as guiding beacons for aspiring entrepreneurs, laying the groundwork for enduring success.
3. NewGen Icon: Highlighting startups as dynamic leaders in the business landscape, pioneering fresh solutions to age-old challenges and carving new paths for growth.
4. Tech Transformer: Honouring businesses at the forefront of technological advancement, leveraging digital tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness in their operations.
5. Champion of Cause: Recognizing businesses that have contributed towards a better purpose for global well-being.
Through the MSME Honours, we aim to encourage more MSMEs to come forward with their innovative ideas and inspire others. This initiative celebrates the relentless efforts and contributions of these businesses, highlighting their stories of innovation and growth at a hyper-local level, and sharing them as inspiration for others.
The nomination entries will be judged by an esteemed panel comprising experts from the fields of technology, the MSME domain, and media. The award aims for inclusivity, ensuring that impactful individuals from various cities and sectors, including those often overlooked but driving the economy, are recognized and celebrated.
This year, we are raising the bar by felicitating outstanding MSMEs across categories globally, including in Africa, India, the Middle East, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
